Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Ambulance Wala collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to the customer and driver apps and to this admin panel, and is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: mobile number, name and, if you give it, email address. Staff accounts also have a work email and password.
  • Booking details: pickup and drop locations, ambulance type, patient name and contact number, notes you add for the crew, fares, payments and the trip timeline.
  • Location: customers' location when they set a pickup point and during an active booking; drivers' location only while they are online or on a trip.
  • Driver verification: licence, ambulance registration, insurance and other documents drivers upload, and the result of our checks.
  • Technical data: device type, app version and security logs (such as sign-in attempts), used to keep the service working and secure.

We do not collect card numbers; online payments are handled by our payment partner.

2. How we use it

  • To create your account and sign you in with one-time codes.
  • To quote fares, find and dispatch the nearest suitable ambulance, and show live trip progress.
  • To take payments, issue receipts and handle refunds and disputes.
  • To verify drivers and ambulances before they can accept trips.
  • To provide support, keep the service safe, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

  • The assigned crew: the pickup location, patient name and contact number, only while the booking is active.
  • Our staff: dispatchers and managers see what their role and service area need. Phone numbers are masked for roles that do not need them, and access is recorded in an audit log.
  • Service providers that work for us: SMS delivery for sign-in codes, email delivery, maps and address lookup, payment processing and hosting.
  • Authorities when the law requires it or to protect someone's life or safety.

4. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet tax and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymised. Location history from trips is kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

5. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive fields such as patient phone numbers and integration keys are encrypted at rest. Staff access is role-based and every sensitive action is written to a tamper-evident audit log.

6. Your rights and choices

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or completed.
  • Ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law or to finish an active booking.
  • Withdraw consent, for example to location access, in your phone's settings. Some features, such as setting a pickup from your location, will then not work.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you, and raise a complaint with us or with the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children

Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. A parent or guardian may book an ambulance for a child and provides the child's details on their behalf.

8. Changes and contact

We will post any changes on this page with a new date, and ask for your consent again in the app when the change requires it.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact our grievance officer at info@nextdevera.com. We aim to reply within 7 days.
